As long as people are allowed to think for themselves, I would think that the spread of Atheism is a good thing, unlike the antagonism you apply to us in your question.

Look, just because we believe atheism is wrong, doesn't mean we will fight it like it's an incurable disease you know. People are allowed to use their brains and make a choice. There are plenty of atheists that don't use their brains.
Sure we will try to inform people and let them know what we believe and why, but we're not going to behave like the inquisition.
Many atheists treat everybody like they're the only ones that know the whole truth. Look at the "global warming" alarmists. It is becoming more clear that while global warming might be a fact, human activity is not necessarily what causes it.
But of course they're "scientists"... one should not dare argue against them... because science can never be wrong... oh wait.. scientists have been wrong many many times.

Why should they try? I'm a theist (pagan) and I don't have a problem with Atheism at all. I'm married to an Atheist, after all. Religion or lack thereof is a personal choice and if Atheism spreads - so be it.

Most likely not. The number of "Theists" that are sufficiently disgusted by us to really try is simply too small, at least in the West.
If Islam comes out on top it's game over but then a LOT of other theists are likely to be pretty unhappy too.

If theists are going to stop the spread of atheism, they are going to have to come up with a different means of going about it besides telling Atheists that they are going to hell.

No way.
However they can encourage the spread of atheism by making this a christian country. Apparently they have never learned that forcing a viewpoint down someone's throat will only make that person gag and throw up. It's not rocket science.
I say we should let them grip their handful of sand. The harder they try, the more they fail.

I don't think so.
Atheism and Theism co-existed since ancient times and will continue to co-exist [I don't mean that they are on good terms, this is why I used the dash in "co-exist" ;-) ].
I think that neither the atheist camp nor the theist can stop one another from gaining supporters and growing globally. People have always differed in how they understood life and ontological issues and will continue to be so forever.

nope- only God can do that by taking away free will. Anyway by the end of times it will stop on its own. One day you face your creator whether or not you believe in that creator has no bearing on that. It is in that moment wither at death or at judgment when all of us will know the truth. That will absolutely stop the spread of it. They will see god for their own eyes. Doesn't mean they will choose to follow God. Many are destined to follow the devil but nevertheless, in that instant all disbelief stops and reality starts.
It will no longer be a discussion.

I usually define Atheism as someone that does no longer keep on with a non secular custom/course. they might or will possibly no longer have faith in a a techniques better being, supernatural entity, greater expertise, God, divinity, or some cosmic stress that keeps issues so as of the universe.....or despite terminology you prefer to compliment. I basically say this using fact my suited buddy is an Atheist. She does not keep on with a faith, yet isn't at a factor the place she'd say that definately there's no longer "some thing" obtainable. on the 2nd she's concluded that there's no longer that "some thing" obtainable and until she discovers the "despite" for herself then her place is that there is not any "despite" for her to locate. To me, it rather is the defination of Atheism in view that it rather is the defination I discovered from a number of my cousins who're additionally Atheists. i does no longer categorize all of my acquaintances who do no longer prepare or declare a faith as Atheists, nevertheless. some are Agnostics. I define Agnostics as people who do no longer keep on with a non secular custom/course and say that there is not any data the two way that there is or isn't "despite" to have faith in, subsequently they elect to no longer handle the question of no count number if there is or isn't "despite", yet rather concentration on spirituality and ethics, etc, from different foundations (looking by distinctive religions, philosophies, etc.....staring at themselves and asking the question "how might i think if this happened to me or became finished to me?" and different questions and making ethical judgements that way. large question. Peace be with you

As long as we can teach our kids the difference between reasoning and faith yes.
Those two work together, and create successful people.
Theyre not opposites.
In the event that they clash, theres something seriously wrong with the picture.
