Are the athiests always so mean to the Christians here? Why do they treat us like this? Are they jellus that we know the truth? Why all the closed mindedness?

Lol...you are calling them close minded...ok seriously did you have a question?

If that's really your question you should know they only do that to fundies, normal people are human beings Monday through Saturday and Christians on SUnday. Atheists generally respect the normal type, but when some fundie attacks them for their personal and moral choice, then they get defensive.

I think some atheists are just fine with it all, but yeah, I've seen some rude ones here and there. But, I've also seen some rude Christians, Wiccans, Buddhists, etc., etc. It's really no different.
I think one of the key things, is to not try and shove a particular religion down other people's throats. Or else, defenses will fly up and offensive words will be said. Still, you'll see all of that any where you go. Not just this board.

And... I wouldn't say they're jealous because Christians know the truth. ;P Because that's quite far from it.

I'm open-minded, but like some others, I don't like it when people tell me I'm going to hell because I don't believe a certain way.

Why ask why? Why ask a question that will only stir up more animosity? As Christians we are expected to face criticism (some of which we deserve) and it's part of "carrying your cross." What does it matter if they are mean to you, in the end of the day does it really matter? Just don't be mean to them or retaliate. Christ didn't talk back or tell people they were just "jealous." Be who you are the best you can be and don't worry about what everyone else says. Don't open yourself to the negativity by posting such an open ended question that you know will stir up a response.

Yeah they're probably just jellus.

I'm sorry I couldn't resist.

But for real, just as you ensure that you know the truth and are not-closed minded, I'm sure atheists are thinking "How do you know the truth? Why are you being closed minded for thinking that, yes, there is a God, Jesus Christ is the savior, etc.?"
I'm not atheist, but I see both sides of the argument for and against Christianity. Accept their views, and they SHOULD accept yours, but as we all know, what people do is often not what they should.

They are not jealous or closeminded. They could be reacting to the rudeness of some Christians here or they just cannot see the truth. The Bible says the natural mind cannot understand the things of God.

Many Atheists turn away when God doesn't answer with a yes.
Mostly it involves loss of a family member. They usually blame the wrong God.

Much of it is also ignorance. Some just plain bad up bringing. There are so many reasons......................
Pity the Godless, don't hate them. They do enough of that of themselves.
Remember one thing, they will be resurrected just as you and I are, and they will have the chance to turn around.

If you perceive a logical challenge to your faith as "mean" and "closed-minded", in light of the hate speech I've witnessed in here often, by those who call themselves "Christians" then I feel terribly sorry for you. Perhaps if you meditate on patience like Jesus taught you, and compassion you could cultivate a calmer mind...

Some atheists have had bad experiences with Christians, but I feel that others are just rebelling and being jerks in the process. There are atheists out there who aren't complete and utter jackasses, but they tend to call themselves "agnostic" to avoid confrontation.

You must consider the fact that Atheists do not beleive in a God, so they would not be jealous, but offended by some religious speakers who tell them they are going to hell.

Our God is a loving, caring Father who loves EVERYONE even the atheists! - this is the message we need to be sending out.

pretty much so.....

I get bashed for being a Creationist? They say I lack understanding, yet when I ask what formed the matter for the Big Bang they have no clue? Kind of Ironic.....

Oh Well, I'll keep preaching and all on here and if they don't like it they can make fun of me or leave, but I'm not leaving..

It's all about this:
John 14:18 "If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. 19 If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.
