Believe it or not, you can actually put the iPod in your freezer for approximately 6-8 hours, after that, take a hair dryer and dry it for about 5-10 minutes. Sometimes they will turn back on and could be fully functional. I know it sounds a little weird but trust me. I think with the cold temperature, it freezes the water and eventionally it evaporates. This has actually worked for me and many other people!

well, if a considerable amount of water got inside the ipod then it might not work. does it work now? or doesnt turn on?

maybe try leaving it on top of a radiator or someplace warm, not too hot to mess it up but somewhere where the water could dry up. and try it. but i dunnno i doubt it will work though.
