As a Native New Mexican I will say New Mexico.

I will dispell some misconceptions though...
We DO have four seasons
It is NOT always hot here
It is NOT tropical weather

I see the aspens and oaks change in the fall (yes we have aspens because we also have mountains and I happen to live next to an 11,000 foot mountain) Fall happens to be my favorite time of year in New Mexico

Unfortunately, we do get a winter and we do have to shovel snow...got 13" in a day. Luckily..we don't get it as much as New York. Our growing season is short..first frost, where I live, was in September (there was snow on the mountain September 21) and our last frost is in mid-April...

The summers can get hot but that depends on what part of the state you live in..I choose not to live in the hotter part. It is a dry heat though so it doesn't seem that bad.

Although it does start to green up, the spring is the only time I don't like because it's nasty windy.

New Mexico all the way for me!!!!!!! :0)

I live in New york and the only problem I have is the air around here makes it harder to breath than over in New Mexico or anywhere more south were the warmer air makes it easier to breathe. Beyond that it really doesn't matter every state has good things and bad things about it.

I have lived in New Mexico and HATED it. I would take the weather in New York anyday!

I currently live in Minnesota, and while I wish we had some more sunny days (or less extreme temps.) I prefer the weather here than in New Mexico.

Wow, to the dude that said New York isn't a state... just wow... if you're not from the US, I don't expect you to necessarilly know that NY is a state, but to question someone or yell at someone when you are so clearly wrong, just WOW... and they say Americans are stupid... wow...

Well, judging from what N.Y. Has been doing this year, I couldn't work up much enthusiasm for THAT!! NORMALLY, (what's that these days) NY would be hot and humid in the summer, and Cold and humid in the winter. NM is HOT and dry in the summer, and GORGEOUS AND WARM in the winter! What are your preferences? I really HATE to shovel snow!

New York, I like the four seasons. I tried to live in an area with two seasons......cool and hot.....not for me. I'm back to the four seasons of PA. Both NY and NM areas have their advantages, I think it is just your preference.
