They're really asking some mean questions too! I saw a question about kissing God's butt. I'll tell you- that'd be the best kiss you ever got. Jesus loves you and so does God. Why do you hate him? He's offering eternal salvation!

This question gets asked from time to time and it always puzzles me. If you want to go to a Jesus fan club site there are dozens run by religious organization that insure only nice things about your religion get posted. This is a discussion board, not a church meeting.
I always love the guys that think I'm here wanting to be convinced. How ignorant! Most atheists were theists who have been convinced that theism is primitive nonsense. We're not here looking to fall back into our former ignorance. We're here trying to educate the tribal primitives.

This isn't so much a category on religion as it is on philosophy, where all views are respected and debated. Atheists do not hate God, they think he never existed, so there really is no one to hate. The atheist isn't rejecting God or turning away from Him, they really and truly believe God just doesn't exist. Possible reasons for this may be the suffering in this world, that a god would not allow his children to suffer in such a way. There are some overzealous Atheists that do not respect other's religious views, and that is unfortunate.

atheists does not hate god, they do not believe in god. there is a huge difference.
I am glad atheists come to this section because along with other religions or non religions we seem to be able to teach you more about your own religion.
Not all christians are morons. What atheists and other religions hate are you coming and keeping on and on about we are going to hell because we do not believe the same as you....
Atheist have a better insight about what is going on in the world and even with religions..more then christians do..

Atheism IS a religion. But it is just a religion that doesn't believe that there is a God(sadly). They just want to be as mean as they can be to Christians. They hate us. They think that we think that we are better than everyone else in the world . But sometimes they really ARE asking serious questions, or questioning us Christians about our faith. One time I had to report someone and I was looking through all the things that you can report someone about and one of them is not really asking a question, so if you see that someone isn't asking anything but just wants to be rude you can report them. Remember to pray for Atheists!!!!!!!!!!!!(and anyone that doesn't believe in God. I almost forgot, sometimes Atheists are right about us thinking that we are better than everyone else but not all the time.

why do people not understand that an atheist is merely someone who does not believe in a personfied god?!? we don't hate something that we don't believe exists.
and this is the "religion & SPIRITUALITY" category, i am very spiritual, so are many atheists. and some atheists even have a religion (buddhism for example).
not all atheists ask mean questions, just as not all christians are

They come here because they can and they want to show us how intelligent they are. They don't particularly hate him they don't believe he even exists. Some (not all) just want to be antagonists. Some think they can sway believers to their way of thinking. Some think science and nature prove there is no God they do not understand that the laws of science and nature are man made laws and God does defy those laws.

For a good laugh! It's fun to witness the mindlessness bimbosity on this site, especially in this category.
In my efforts to lose all remaining vestiges of my former religion by witnessing this site, it has not been the beauty of the arguments of nonbelievers that has helped sway me. There have been many fine arguments presented by persons of all persuasions, but it is the overwhelming mass of cocky ignorance touted as wisdom by those who claim to have the ultimate source of wisdom and knowledge in the universe, namely the Holy Bible.

You say they are asking mean questions. Isn't your question kind of mean, if not original?
It is a site in which one can ask or answer questions on relgious or spiritual matters. every human being can have some interest there, whatever they might believe or not believe.
Once you've been here for a while, you will notice that a lot of people claiming to be Christians say some pretty ugly things to atheists.

Everybody has the right to be on this site. Everybody has something to say when it comes to the subject of religion. If you don't like certain questions then ignore them and look for questions that you feel like answering. It's not that difficult a thing to do.
