a note would be just one lmeasly little tone. a chord would be however a more exiting combiniation of different notes played all together. tip: verses should be mostly played with chords and solos with notes. have fun playing!

A note is a single TONE. For example in a guitar, the thickest string or the 6th or bass strinng in an accoustic/rythmn guitar is known as the "E" note when plucked openly. The 5th becomes "A" note, 4th=D, 3rd=G, 2nd=B and the 1st is an high "E"note. From these notes the tones sharpens (#) as you move your fingers on the Frets towards the ressonator. eg: E, F, F#, G, G#, A,A#, B,C, C# ,D, D#, E and flatens when reverse.
CHORD is a combination of 3 notes or more being pressed down and strumed or picked at the same time. In jazz music you'll deal with chords and in CLASSICAL music you'lldeal with notes.

A note like C is just one finger by one fret, and you get a single tone, or note. If you combine several single notes, and strum them at once, those are chords. they all have names, and you can buy a book for beginners that shows you everything.

A note is a single string, like one key on a piano. A chord is several strings struck at once, like pressing several keys at the same time on a piano.
