In your area braces cost around $4700, but that's about what they are everywhere else.
Most dentists offer montly payment plans, which run around $150-$200 a month.
Good luck to you.

I am here in Illinois and my orthodontist charges a flat rate for all braces (ceramic and regular) which is $5950. You might be able to call around and see if others do this or if they can give you an estimate. On average, braces range from $3000-$7000. Most orthodontists offer consultations for little to no fee. You should see at least 2 since treatment options and prices may vary. Depending on what the orthodontist finds, he will probably recommend that you have some teeth extracted. Some orthodontists try their best to not do extractions. Ask other people who have or had braces who they recommend.

Braces are anywhere from 4,500 to 6,000 depending on the orthodontist and depending on the area. I wouldn't bother with worrying about getting coverage, you most likely won't be covered unless you're paying for a dental plan that would cost more than the orthodontic treatment in the first place.

Do you have dental coverage?
If you do then you may only be liable for your deductible. If not then you need to get a hold of a discount dental plan before getting the braces started.
You can get that at the web address below.
This plan will save you about half off on your braces.

yeah. that's too expensive. My braces cost like $3,000. minus insurance is was a little over $1,000. Considering the fact that only the top 6 teeth in the front have braces.

It is like a car payment around $400 a month. Crazy but so worth it.
