On the one hand...you are giving something to somebody they feel they are in need of...

On the other, you are bringing them one step closer to an untimely death...

Any thoughts

Good karma for being helpful, but ultimately bad karma for being an enabler and helping them do something that you feel is wrong and unhealthy.

Depends a lot on how you feel about smoking. If you think it's bad, then the better karma is to not do it. Neither karma nor morality nor etiquette require you to do something you feel is wrong.

Smoking is bad for anybody's physical health. Whether you believe in Karma or some other crap like this, you won't be doing big favour to the one you are giving a sigarette to.

Well, since I know how it feels to have run out and be in despirate need of a smoke....I say good karma. I can't personally repay all of those people who have helped me in my time of need, so I just hope they were rewarded in some way for their kindness.

*Smokes are EXPENSIVE....giving one up is a selfless act!

Good Karma if the smoker is a smoker.

Bad Karma if the smoker has told you they wanna quit and not to tempt them!!!

That's very bad because tobacco is toxic to our body. The nicotine in cigarettes increases your risk of heart disease.

Only you can determine how much harm is caused by such an act based on your intent and the amount of harm it causes, and all other criteria I'm not privy to... it's not my place to dictate to you.
