My son has always been very laid back and okay with whatever, but this week he began to be frightened of every little noise. He is so skiddish for some reason. When anyone speaks to loud ( like his grandparents or excited friends) he starts crying his eyes out. Is this normal?

It's just a stage. My 15 month old would not go to sleep the other night b/c of the thunder. She was petrified. It's normal though.

She appears like maximum youthful domestic canines. Its no longer precisely strange for domestic canines, or any canines for that count number, to be afraid of unexpected loud noises. till you socialize a canines to be high quality around those noises, than she would be afraid of them. An occasion of a canines being socialized around loud noises is a gun canines. they're socialized to no longer head for the hills whilst their proprietor starts off taking photos. yet, you assert that she has only somewhat all started appearing skiddish around loud noises? Did she have something that ought to have brought about her to be afraid of the loud noises? Like perchance she have been given harm and the undertaking that harm her grow to be quite loud? the only right situation to do is to offer her a manage everytime that she would not freak out on the noises. And compliment her. inspite of the indisputable fact that, in specific situations being afraid of the loud noises could be a stable situation. including if there grow to be a noisy vehicle coming down the line.

my son went through this stage too. He didn't outgrow it till he was 3 1/2. I think he is just getting older and becoming more aware of things. Just like when they are babies they may not care who picks them up but as they get older they may only want mom and dad. I would not worry about this at all.

Its a stage they go through. I have 3 boys and they all went through it. My 2 year old as rough and tough as boys come, but recently cried when the security system went off at wal-mart. Just give him some reassurance and comfort.

Have him screened for autism. Might be nothing, but alot of times, autistic behavior starts around this age, and if that's the case, you need to know as soon as possible to deal with him as effectively as possible.

something could have happened to traumatize him. it could have been loud and unexpected so it might have scared him. For example: if he was playing with a balloon and it unexpectedly popped, it could have been loud and scared him.
