Most doctors and dieticians agree that if you're on a normal schedule (sleeping at night and working/going to school/being awake in general during the day) the morning is the best time for you to work out. It gets your energy up and prepares your body and mind to be sharp for the rest of the day.
Furthermore, it's common for people who exercise in the morning to sleep better than those who exercise closer to their bed time. There have been a couple studies on this but I dont know of any that have been conclusive, so I say "common" as opposed to factual.

If you work out early in the day it revs your metabolism up for the whole day. Also if you exercise less than 3 hrs before bed, some people have trouble relaxing and sleeping. Of course that depends on the type of workout.

During the day is a good time just not at night. They say you're supposed to work out in the morning but come on, who wants to do that?

Personally I think that it's better to work out in the morning, or at least as early in the day as possible. It wakes you up & you feel energized the rest of the day. When you do it at night sometimes it can be harder to relax after & get to sleep.

Different people like different times because everyone's body is different. Try working out in the mornings and see how you feel. Try afternoons and night time too and just check it all out. Sometimes it is difficult to sleep when you work out too late at night, you'll find out which time you like the best.

I like to work out in the afternoons. I don't think it really matters what time of day you do it. Just as long as you do. But I've heard it's best to do it the same time everyday.

Teh best time to work out is whenever you WILL workout. It wouldn't make a bit of difference if it was better to exercise in the morning if you couldn't get yourself out of bed to do it! ;)

I prefer right when I wake up in the morning. I get up, get dressed, and go for a run. This is best for me b/c it wakes me up, gives me energy for the day, and I don't have any time to talk myself out of it. Plus working out at night keeps me up.
