what about them? yes, they are cool, hand made, and expensive

There are no professional hybrid bikes that I know of. Claude Butler makes good bikes. You will be a lot better bike from the local bike shop then Halfords.

nice rigs but seem to be vanishing these days

i remember my first claud butler, excelent to blat about on but the crown cracked within 8 months so i went to GT's and Orange bikes

They are not bad. They are the high end spec machines of Falcon cycles. They are not bad value for money. The Cape Wrath consistantly scores high in MBR, typically 9 or 10. They also do a carbon version for about £900. Overall, not bad machines.
