Karen Armstrong "The Biography of Prophet Muhammad," I believe she may be an agnostic or just believe in a Higher Power, not sure. She used to be a Nun.
But her books are very objective, she is a very focused historian.

Try books written by Katrine Armstrong. She is not a Muslim but she can give you a balanced view on the subject.
My favorite is her book “the history of God”
God bless

There are plenty out there just search yahoo. There was a jewish autho who talked about the 100 greatest men in history and he said Muhammad (s) was #1.
I'm reading a biography by him right now, I'll give you the name later. It's really good.
