I had glandular fever 2 yrs ago and i know how you feel. I ended up in hospital as i got quinces ( large ulcers ) on my tonsils.
The bug can stay in your system for well over a year, it did with me.
All i can recommend is that you get a lot of rest and gargle on salt water and take a pain killer when you need them.
God bless you and i do hope that you feel better soon....

My heart goes out to you, it really does.
The virus that causes glandular fever never completely goes and can keep coming back, so if it is glandular fever, it may be a long time before you get better. I hate to say this, but I have had Post Viral Syndrome and I know what it can be like. On the other hand, I don't think the really bad fever will come back, but you could be stuck with the muscle pain and the tiredness for some time. If the muscle pain continues for much longer, I can give you an aromatherapy formula, if you want (I am a qualified aromatherapist and reflexologist).

There are things you can do.
Obviously keep going back to the doc, but the virus that can cause glandular fever can hide in the body, so don't be surprised if the tests come back negative.
Try going to a homoeopath - that is what got me better.
Treating yourself with reflexology can help too (this is what I use). I recommend 'Reflexology- a step-by-step guide' by Anne Gillanders because it is not too dear and it has very good pictures. Treat your hands every day.

Take a good multi-vitamin supplement (Holland & Barrats Super ABC is good) and pro-biotics.

The thing is with glandular fever is that the quicker you get into recovery the better your long-term outcome. Rest as much as you can. I hope you get better soon.

What you do is your decision, yet why even positioned up a query like this on a internet site the place many of the persons listed here are the two pregnant, attempting to get pregant etc. Why no longer go communicate to a professional who can help with this. the reason you have become damaging comments is for the reason which you're on a internet site the place human beings are entitled to declare despite the fact that they choose to you. in case you do no longer purely like the solutions that some human beings provide then why even complication putting this question on right here? this is my opinion, yet whilst i become to ask a query on right here which I of course be attentive to is going to reason controversy then i would not be suprised on the solutions.
