I want to know what colors for a country wedding would be best?

what time of year? Cause I agree with earth tones but that changes so much during the year. Though I cant imagine a winter time country wedding.

Is it in a barn? I always imagine a barn, with metal as decorations. Like iron lanterns with candles in it for each table. One of my friends did that and served bbq at the reception with a banana pudding cake. I think it was banana flavored pudding in a graham cracker flavored cake mix.

I really like sunflowers--using gold and brown as your colors.

I also like kinda a crimson/burgandy color. Deep colors look good as bridesmaids colors since so many people look good in them (and I'd look terrible in yellow or brown).

But those seem primarily fall colors to me. But for a country wedding I really like colors in nature.

For spring, I like sky blue, kinda meadow (spring) green, purple heather / wisteria.

For summer, like a real sunny yellow and white.

Really simple flowers for a country wedding though. Sunflowers, gerber daisies (they come in all colors), hydrageas, babys breath. Something spikey--I think its called Lupins (?). They come in all colors too but I dont know how well they hold up as an arrangement but I'm sure the florist knows something similar to it. Maybe some wild flowers.

Oh it sounds gorgeous. I love country weddings. Congratulations

When I think of a country wedding the first thing that pops into my head is an outdoor ceremony in a nice open area ... you should definitely stick to natural tones, like ivory, celadon, and light pink. Depending on the season you could brighten things up by adding a bright orange gerberia to the mix.

I know this is kind of plain, but I'm planning an outdoor country wedding for May '07 and am using red and white pulling it from the red and white gingham checked tablecloths I'm using.
My dress is a white cluny lace off the shoulder sundress. The groom is wearing denim overalls and a red t shirt with a red bandana folded and hanging out the back pocket. My son and daughter who are walking me down the patio walk are wearing jeans and red shirts also.
I chose sunflowers as my flower and my bouquet is nothing but sunflowers with red checked gingham ribbons and raffia adorning the handle. Corsages and boutineers are sunflowers also with checked bows and raffia.
Table centerpieces are mason jars with red gemrocks in the bottom with a votive candle nestled inside and raffia tied around the top of the jar. Also using haybales, ceramic/resin roosters, antique churns/jugs, washboards, etc to decorate with also. The arbor we're stranding under will be decorated with white tulle, sunflower garlands and red heart lights entwined together. Pots of live red, white and striped petunias will be used also.
Best wishes for a beautiful wedding and a sunny day!!

i've always thought that a light lime green and deep brown would look pretty for an outdoor wedding. Limegreen table clothes with brown runners.

Or

Tiffany Blue and White would be really pretty.

I would say Champagne is a perfect country color...or chocolate brown would work too. My daughter is having champagne bridesmaid dresses with chocolate brown sash and having different shades of pink flowers. With champagne and chocolate brown you can use any variety of flowers. Best of luck!!!!

I would go with white, and a peach, and a little hunter green on the tables, you can also use mason jars to put flower in on the tables. and even put candles in the small jars.. very pretty and country.

All soft colors...pastels. Don't go with red, white or blue or check. Just do soft pastel colors and all gowns or dresses should be very soft and flowing.
