Man in yarmulke, What's your address, I live in NY now.

BTW, you've never dealt with anyone like me, unless there were people in Russia who the Jews had gang raped their grandmother, brought their mother from a foreign country to be a maid, forcibly converted her to their religion, stole their father's house and farm, and then used they themselves as slave labor.

If there were people like that in Russia, you Jews need to calm down with the rapes and thefts. I thought Jews in Europe were better than the monsters in the Middle East.

Yes, I certainly "believe" in the Passover story, not that it is literal, but that it teaches us about our roots. We were slaves in a slave land. The story reminds us every year that we are obligated to aid and assist others who are being persecuted and oppressed!

Our current challenge is found in Darfur, Sudan. What can we do to stop the genocide. 400,000 precious lives have already been snuffed out!

I am a Reform Jew-by-Choice and am not a Zionist although I have a very soft spot in my heart for Israel!

no.
i am raised conservative, I take jewish education classes out of interest not nessisarily belife.

I tihnk the story is like any other story. Its told in a style to be interesting and to teach. There are lessons through out the story. Also, its easier for people to become interested in a story than a historical argument or theory

I am a religious Zionist to answer your question. To answer your other question is yes Hagaddah is as real to me as the Torah. The story of the Hagaddah is to educate the Jews about the spiritual holiness of the holiday and how we as Jews supposed to function. You may believe it or not it is up to you. To me it shows one thing, “That no matter who chased us, who killed us, who tortured us, we as Jews persevere and we will continue to persevere no matter who chasses us and who tries to kill us. By the way, if you ever in the great state of MD come and visit me for Pessah. You don't scare me at all. I have dealt with people like you all of my life in Russia.

I am not religious so I say no, its a combination of fact and fiction. Part of our heratige is our mythology, and that makes it special enough.
