No, only his physical body is "damaged", and that is buried and turns back to dust. Eventually God will raise this dust into a new body, where you will be reunited with your soul. This body will be perfect, and the wheelchair, sickness, death can't touch this body!

He will no longer need a wheelchair. His body will be whole. Heaven is not about learning new life skills but experiencing what Love really is. In a way that is too beautiful for our minds to behold until we too are in heaven.

Did you know that all people, both those going to heaven and those going to hell will be resurrected after they die?
That means that we will all come back in bodily form to be judged by God for how we lived our life on earth.
Those who have trusted in Jesus Christ will go to heaven and they will be given "resurrection bodies" just as Jesus himself was given when he was resurrected after he died on the cross.
These bodies will truly be perfect: no more death, no more aging, no more pain, and no more handicaps.
That means that a person in a wheelchair on earth would no longer need a wheelchair in heaven because God would give them a new, unbroken body and they will dance for the first time in heaven :)

All those who go to Heaven through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ will have new perfect bodies so no wheelchairs will be needed. The blind will see, the deaf will hear, the dumb will talk and the dumber will be smart.
The Booth Brothers put it this way:
"I was trying to catch the crippled man
Did he run past this way?
He was rushing home to tell everyone
What Jesus did today
And the mute man was telling myself and the deaf girl
He's leaving to answer God's call
It's hard to believe
But if you don't trust me
Ask the blind man, he saw it all"

angels dont need wheelchairs before they learn to walk just like people (with healthy functioning legs) dont.
learning skills that one didnt learn while on the earth, would have to be learned in heaven.
everyone learns something new when they go to new places.
since angels didnt start on the earth, but in heaven.. then they already know how to fly.
and people, once they get there, if they wanted to fly, might have to learn to fly.

I don't believe the wheelchair would go to Heaven because in Heaven we are supposed to get new, flawless bodies. No need for that wheelchair.

when a person goes to heaven, they are given a body with no handicaps at all. the man in the sky doesn't make bad things happen, that's the other guy. they don't have to learn, they just know how to do whatever it was they couldn't do on earth.

I think most religions would agree on this analogy. It is like a car & driver, the car gets old, rusty, beat up and wrecked and eventually it no longer runs. The soul is like the driver, it can go on unscathed to heaven, summerland or a new body (for those who believe in reincarnation) in it's original condition.

In heaven ALL things are made new. The lame will walk, the blind will see, missing body parts will be restored, etc. There will be no sickness and disease, and no trace of any sickness or disease left in a person who had one on earth. (And physical therapy will not be needed!) :)

Good Point, and Does not Mathew Say something about Cutting off a Hand and Going into the Next life without something ....
http://scripturetext.com/matthew/5-30.htm
Nothing about New Bodies in Mathew
****
Three Thumbs down and I cited Scripture: So If Mathew Talks about going into the Next Life Maimed, then what are the references for the New Life being one with Renewed, repaired bodies? I mean references as clear as Mathew is about NOT being repaired ... if there is, then thats a Conflict in Scripture
