This has never happened to me before, but I was always curious about it. My doctor says that I shouldn't wear them inside out, but nothing else. She taught me the folding technique, but I still can't tell sometime.

It is extremely uncomfortable . Soft lenses are beveled on the inside edge to fit your cornea. If you put them on inside out, then the bevels present a sharp edge to the inside of the eyelid and cause irritation.

Hold one on your finger, if it looks like a smooth bowl, it is right side out.

I have done it before, but not for long because it is painful everytime you blink. Also, you cannot see as clear as you would normally see when the contact is put in the right way. If your contact is in inside out, it hurts and you begin to see a bit blurry.

When my contact is inside out it won't stay centered on my eye- It will float all around when I blink and I see blurry. I can never remember the folding thing either so I just stick it in and then blink.

My daughter wears contacts and says that the only thing that happens when you wear contacts inside out is pain...worse than when you get an eyelash stuck in your eye.
