If you were a real christian, wouldn't you want to see your god? Why are so many so scared to die? If heaven is soo great why not be happy to see it? This pagan wants to know.

wow people really I'm not trying to say all of you but half my family is in a big rush to stay away from death at like 87 years of age. and no I will not make people sad when I go. people already know that when I die the should be happy. I bring alot of light to the people around me and I'll be back. so why cry for someone who is going to be back soon?

ok again story time with Shini. I was in the USAF... I went down range... I did what I needed to do for what it was worth. I also was shot at, beaten up and almost run over. the issue is only one of these was from the front lines. someone found out I prayed to Shinigami (Japenese god/goddess of death) hopping she would let us live one more day. hopping that no one would die a painful death if she did take from us. I broke three bones while defending myself. Death is not a fate I will contend with, nor will I bow down to someone or thing to stop it. time is not our consern. when My hubby a born and rased Christian heard this he too freacked. but only by not understanding that I was not asking for death, just asking to see if my time was up.

My hubby got the pic. when everyday I was still whole. Now the sad thing about this is the three men that broke my bones, are cathlic. I took alot from them, but signs I read from Shinigami (dead birds, clear patches of ground, fresh mounds of sand.) saved there lives. I don't fear anything but the human mind. and the evil things it can come up with.

I'm not Christian and I'm not afraid to die either. I am afraid to die before I have the chance to see my children have children....my point? People seem to forget that what is important is what we do while we're here...and for how long we get to do it. what the hell is a 75 yr lifespan when compared to the age of the universe? does this mean God thinks we are specs of pretty much nothing?

There is a time a place, things to accomplish and things to do... get busy doing the right things, when it is time to sit back, sit back. Death will come, when it comes, there is no fear... possible regret for things left undone and for the ones you leave behind you.
Ok, people are scared of death b/c you leave people behind, the joke I'm so busy if I have to die after I get everything done I'll live forever, it is unknown, the church and many others put fear enough, and let's not forget guilt... a lot of religions are good at that too.
And just cause you realize death is natural and your spirit goes to its proper place doesn't make it much easier to simply die or that you want to die. There are still things to do.
I might have missed a few points :)

Ok, first off, I am not Christian, but I was for a long time, and I saw my "God" everyday, in the trees, the wildlife, my family. I think Christians need to stop looking for something Divine, and just take a look around. Now that I am Wiccan, and a pagan, I see divinity every day, in my children, in a sunset, in just the creation around me.

Also, alot of Christians worry alot about what is going to happen when they die, and spend most of their life stressing over whether or not they are going to see God, or get into Heaven. I think that we should pay more attention to how we live, then what is going to happen when we die.

If we take the time to look at the beauty all around us, then we will see our gods, who ever they may be, and if we live our lives right, with good intentions, and a good heart, then the after life will take care of itself.

Because life is good too when it's all you've known. No one know's what death is like because the people who have experienced it can't relate that experience to us. So it is a mystery and there is the chance that what you've chosen to believe in is wrong. I guess it's a prejudice for what's the most familiar - life.

I have never seen a true Christian who is afraid to die, except that they want to obey their God by making disciples of all nations while they are alive.

Who you call Christians may ba the false ones who destroy the true faith, and therefore are of Satan.

When I read the word of GOD I see GOD. When I see a fellow christian following the Word of GOD I see Christ.
