I met this girl I'm interested in a few weeks ago and I'm letting her know it. We text each other a little bit, and I asked her if I could take her out sometime over the phone and she said "Sure, but just as friends." Lately, when I know I'm going to be in her presence, I try to look sharp and laid back, and I have been successful in doing so. I'm in great shape, I'm smart, and I have a great sense of humor. She doesn't have a boyfriend, she rejects almost every guy, and she isn't a lesbian. I giver her a lot of space by no smothering her with tons of texts or calls. We're both Seniors in high school and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Help, someone?

Be her friend. What else can you do? Most good relationships start out as good friendships anyway. But keep doing what you're doing, making it clear that you like her (not in a stalkerish kind of way) otherwise she may end up assuming that you're interested in just being friends too. If you grow too close under that assumption, it may ruin your chances; she'll think of you as always being just a friend.

If worse comes to worst and she keeps letting you know she's not interested, at least you know where you stand. Being confused and heartbroken sucks a lot more than disappointment.

Honestly, you're probably not doing anything wrong. You might have run across the rare girl who realizes that most high school relationships don't mean much in the long run and is kind of waiting to get to college so she can let her guard down.

I would take her up on her offer and get her out with you. Probably your best bet would be in a larger group of mutual friends, but then follow that up with a one on one if things go well.

Keep doing what you're doing. Do NOT pressure her in any way. You don't want to be in a relationship with someone that doesn't really want to be in one with you. You can't force her to do something she doesn't want to do, that's not what I'm saying. If it was meant to be that you were supposed to be with her, then it will happen, and you just have to let it happen when it does. You're in high school, trust me, you don't need to rush anything. I did that all the way through high school, and looking back, I wish that I hadn't.
Anyways, like I said, keep being laid back, and if she's truly interested in a relationship with you, she will let you know.

It seems like you may be acting too cautious. Try and be a bit more positive and confident. She may be quite shy or nervous. If you have a laugh together, that's a good sign.
But she may have come out of a bad relationship, or she could genuinely just want to be your friend. It's always a tricky one you've just got to be a man. if you crash and burn, that's just the game of relationships. good luck

It's not that you're doing something wrong. It sounds like she just dosen't want a relationship at this time in her life. I didn't in high school. Give it some time and keep yourself as her friend, you hve to be friends before anything else can really work out.

Maybe it isn't you, maybe she isn't interested in a relationship, or a boyfriend right now. I don't think you are doing anything wrong-she might just want to take things slow. It's much better to start off as friends, anyway!

well ok you know what you want but she doesnt she probably has been hurt before that may be the reason that she has no bf but if you like her do small things that will get you noticed like walk her to class when you see her or lil things like that or you could just man up and tell herwhat you fell. she may reject you or she may fell the same thing for you

Well..If you just met a few weeks ago she probabaly wants some time to just be friends with you to get to know you better. Which, I can completely understand, and I'm sure you do too..Just continue being good friends with her, and if it's meant to be..It'll come with time:)
