Milk teeth! This made me giggle cos I remember the shock I felt when I found a cats tooth on the carpet. I rushed my kitten to the vet in total panic. Cats like most mammals loose there baby teeth - we just normally never get a chance to find them as kittens and puppies tend to swallow them - again nothing to worry about.

By about 6 months old, kittens usually have lost all of their "baby" teeth and have their permanent ones in. In other words, I am sure she has lost a lot of teeth and you just haven't noticed it until this one. Cats and dogs, like humans, need regular dental checkups (at least yearly), and if you are worried that she may have lost a permanent tooth and not a "baby" tooth, just bring her to the vet.

Yes cats do have teeth fall out around 6 or 7 months... it is totally normal and just happened to my kittens...
As long as the cat seems to be eating ok afterwards and still bathing itself she is good to go.... if she can't eat or is pawing at her mouth a lot she may need a vet visit......
Good luck

it is perfectly normal ... you should try to be careful with their teeth untill they have all fallen out and new ones have grown in but it is nothing to worry about... they are like humans... their "kitten teeth" fall out and their "cat teeth" grow in :) it to progresses untill she is about 1 and a half or the teeth dont start to grow back in within two weeks of the one falling you you might want to consider the vet but other than that she should be fine :) good luck!

Um.. I don't think that kittens teeth fall out because my cats toy had blood on it and I didn't see any loose teeth..

They're just 'milk teeth'...same as human baby teeth...no roots! Just making room for her permanent set.
