A lot of makeups have harmful substances that clog pores and other things that are just not good to put on your skin, One thing to remember is that 60% of what you put on your skin is absorbed into your system. The best way to avoid harmful substances is to use natural products, like Burts Bees. Their body wash, lotions and shampoos are nice. For makeup I would use Bare Minerals, it is pure and it wont clog your pores. I use it and I will never use a liquid foundation again. Burts Bees does make makeup but I dont like any liquid foundations, they all seem to clog my pores no matter how natural they are. Try Bare Minerals, its awesome! One other product that I love is at www.windrifthill.com , the goatsmilk unscented lotion is awesome for an all over body lotion and I use it on the dry spots on my face. Its amazing. Their soap is great too, the serious bar works great for the face. Its a natural line, you just have to try it to understand what i mean.

Makeup that has mineral oil or talc are harmful substances. Try to avoid Wet n' Wild, Maybelline, Cover Girl. One good brand is Physician's Formula found at any grocery and drugstore. The're products actually improve your skin.

Most make-ups have a lot of things you wouldn't want your body to absorb. So be careful and read up if that kind of thing matters most to you! Be careful of mineral oil based products they actually harden your skin and it's inexpensive so a lot of skin care/make up use it.

I like Arbonne a lot - it's nice to know its not tested on animals or made from animal by products - and my skin is glowing.
