I guess now would be the time to sit her down and talk to her about the birds and the bees. At the very least her mother should sit her down and explain that she wasn't being hurt.

WOW! I hope this happened in the middle of the night, otherwise you two were not being very responsible or respectful. I have three children. Their dad and I do not have sex while they are awake. It's just not right. Your gf should schedule some time while her daughter goes to Grandma's and you two can be naughty in the daytime, or meet for lunch on a weekday. Sorry if I sound prudish, but seeing something like that just confuses a kid, and at 9 yrs old she is just starting to hear things from her peers and get curious. She is too old for that, toddlers can often be redirected and you can play it off. Let your girlfriend deal with it, but if the opportunity arises, maybe you could talk to her. NEXT TIME, AT LEAST LOCK THE DOOR and tell your girlfriend not to MOAN SO DAMN LOUD if her daughter is there. OH, and now might be a good time to invest in a LOCK on the bedroom door!!

Wow thats rough you might have just scared her for life. Well the correct thing to do is to talk to the child about it and explain that that is what grown ups do to express love and emotions. And if she says it looked like you were hurting her just say, yeah it probably did look like that but I was not different people think different things feel good. And you were actually just being nice to her. Good luck

First of all, these activities should be saved for when the child is at grandma's house. Sex is fine; quiet, civilized sex is fine when child is in bed. However, kinky hair pulling, slapping and mommy screaming kind of sex is not okay in the presence of a child. You both should be ashamed. These are things that have to be be taken into consideration whether you want to or not when you or your partner has a child. Do not be so selfish.

Make sure she knows to knock when the door is closed. Try to be quiet so not to draw attention. Good luck on trying to explain what she saw.

You're going to have to talk to the child about that. It can be sort of confusing for children. You may want to explain the nature of your relationship to him/her. Knowing that you care about her and explaining that sex is a way to show that may make him/her a little less upset.
