While males have a longer growth period than females, girls typically don't stop growing until around age 18-20. You have a chance that you will grow a bit more before your growth period is over. With two parents who are taller I would think you stand a fairly decent chance of gaining an inch or two.
To encourage your body to grow be sure to eat a well-balanced diet that will give your body the fuel to grow. Dairy, protein, etc are important building blocks!
And I don't think 5'3" is too short - I'm 5'2" and proud of it! As I've always said, the short ones are sweeter. ;-)

Nope, you're not too short.
I'm a female in my 20's and 5'1", and my sister was 5'8" by the time she was 14 (parents were both around 5'7"). You're just as good no matter what height you are. (:
Doctors usually say that at 1 year after menarche (first menstrual cycle), girls are generally their full adult height. So if you had your first period when you were 12, you probably won't grow anymore (but its still possible).
There are a lot of famous women that are 5'3" (or shorter):

Everybody grows at different rates. I myself am short, about 5'2" or so ... my dad is 5'6" and my mom 5'7" my grandmother on my dads side was always short though and had a big chest...I inherited her genes hehe short with a big chest. My husband is 6'4" and he loves me the way I am....loves my being short cause I fit nicely into his arms and he says he can keep me safe. His mother is about 5'4" and his dad was about 5'6" if I remember correctly. His brother is about the 6 foot mark and his sister is about the same height as my parents....
For all you know, you could have another growth spurt left, or you could be done growing. Don't place too much worry on your height, sometimes being shorter has it's advantages!

Even if you never grew another millimeter 5'3" is a great height, you can date, and look good next to any height of guy you want, short or tall.
If it is too short for you though, look at the other people you are related to also. How tall are your aunts and grandmothers? Look at the person in your family you resemble the most, I look like my mother, and my dad's sister, where my sister just looks like my dad's sister, so she is taller than me like our aunt, and I am shorter like my mother.

No it is not too short! You are only 13 and it is highly likely that you will grow more given your age and the height of your parents.
Even if you do not grow any more, you are still plenty tall. My brother's girlfriend is only 5' and she is 21. Believe me, it is no problem and definitely nothing for you to worry about.

5'3" is not short - it's petite. Also, you will continue to grow until you are 18 and some do until age 21. Don't worry - with your parents' heights, you'll probably end up being tall.

honey, you're only 13...yes you will grow some more, and besides, I'm 39 years old, am 5'3 and my boyfriend is 6'4 and I love the height difference! "Honey, I can't reach that, can you get that for me?" LOL don't know what better, playing the "blonde" card (blonde is a frame of mind, not a color!) or the height card!
