I'm emo and when i feel like doing emo hair i do a couple of different hairstyles. One that i do is just part it down the middle and comb it so that it covers my left eye. Or i like start on the right side and do a diagonal part and then comb it over my left eye. Sometimes i do like a side swept bang over my left eye with the fringe flipped up.

I think pulling the middle of your hair, so that the part is not visible is cute. You just gather the middle part of your hair, pull it loosely to the back of your head, so that it kinda looks like a little hump. Don't worry, its very cute and you will get compliments.
