I had an incredibly intense headache last night and a little bit today...during the day (yesterday) I got to eat very little/have little water-is this a dieting headache or lack of food? or likely a fluids issue?
I also am experiencing bouts of insomnia...

you sound like me sometimes....if I don't eat every 3-5 hours I'll get a minor headache. The longer I go without eating the worse the headache is. I think you have a lack of food headache. Your body needs a certain amount of food to function and complete its daily functions. When you don't eat your body takes your energy(stored fat/food) and burns it to help it function. If you skip eating or eat too less, you will lose wieght but you'll also feel sick. I get insomnia too, but I don't think it's from not eating. Sometimes I get insomnia when I have something on my mind; whether it's good or bad. My brain just can't calm down and I'm up until 3-4 in the morning. See if anything is bothering you because that may be the cause of the insomnia. If that doesn't work I see a doctor or nutritionist and see if it does have something to do with how much you're eating.

You are probably dehydrated. I went 2 days with no foodor water and I started having headaches and a little confusion. Just a thought.

Increase your fluid intake. Dehydration is very bad for your body and your brain. Look into a diet and talk to a doctor before starting it. You have no idea the harm you could do.

it definetly could be a dieting issue. Your body could be in shock. Such as insulin shock. The key is to eat smarter not starve.
