Yes my new bose speakers work and are plugged in correctly ,i just get no sound after i restored my pc. can anyone help?

you may not of restored the sound driver. check you device manager and see if your sound driver is there, you may just have to re install it.
if you only did a restore to another time and date. you can try rolling back to a time where it did work and possible you might get it back that way.
other wise you may have to do a full system recovery to get it back. but then you will lose any unsaved data that you haven't backed up.. back up any files first, press the F 10 key and do a full system recovery, Destructive and you should get it back to the full factory settings. if it is in your hard drive. other wise you would need a full system recovery disc. I used to do a similar issue with my Hp workstation earlier. that's no longer basically re-installation homestead windows. If that's some thing like the Hp workstation I had, there are added information that favor to be put in for each of the drivers and hardware that comprise the computer. examine with the Acer information superhighway website and do a glance for on that express form. desire this helps even by ability of only a touch...

It sounds like you need a new audio driver. this happened because when you reformatted your hard drive you erased the old audio driver. you can download a new one at your audio card manufactures website. also http://www.driverguide.com/ is a great place to find drivers i use it when i rebuild old computers. also they have generic drivers that might help if you don't know what type of audio card you have.

if u got a disk with the bose speakers then install it or install the drives the driver i installed is realtek audio
