Hi Partisan, thought you would figure out that I was talking about the US. And btw, most Chinese are Toaists. We refer to them as Godless only because of their government. Thanks for your answer.

So folks you take great offense at my saying Christianity should be taught in our schools. But you have no problem with MY children being taught the voodoo science of natural selection. And the threoy of evolution being taught not as a theory but as a FACT. Which it is not. Thank you all for your answers.

No, it should not be mandatory as then that would be very discrimanatory everyone who is not Christian. Plus, who would decide how the Bible class is taught? What would be taught? Even in different Christian sects, the Bible is taught differently, interpreted differently. This might just lead to more wars, and we don't need any more wars in this world.

I agree with the idea that maybe electives could be offered, and for the seven major world religions - not just Christianity.

Mandatory, no. But I think schools should have a class offered on religions in general if for no other reason than to teach the cultural differences relative to each and put them in a world context.

This is America and everyone is entitle to their own religion and entitled to practice it without presure from anyone including christians!!! you can't even say the word God in shcool so how do you even think you could do what you are talking about???? Absolutely not!
how rude to force people to learn about a religion they want noting to do with.

even if it means they don't have to convert. christianity is far from mandatory and for some reason most(NOT ALL because i have met a lot of nice christians who don't get in other people's business when it comes to god.) christians don't think its ok for people to believe something else.

now if it were a Religions class were they teach all different types of religions with branches of christianity/paganism/neo-pagan religions/budhist/ and ext. i'm all for it. :] as long as they dont choose one religion over all the rest or showing less importance for other religions

We should be actively involved in our homes to teach our children the values of morality. The bible should be posted at our homes and our children should be allowed to openly discussed there faith to there peers at school.

Personally I'm against public education because it has been brainwashing our children into believing there are no absolutes. Which is wrong.

God is real!

I would say keep the focus at home and maybe the schools will change.

A word of advice...people rebel against being forced to do something. Go to your local DMV, look around...does anybody look happy...enlightened...? You would not be making Christianity look good by enforcing something like that. Not to mention the whole religious fascism issue...

When did christians become a majority? I am making the distinction between christians and churchgoers.

In any case, evolutionists are the majority. By your own crass argument, that would mean that evolution had to be taught.

Let me answer your question with another question

If / When Islam becomes the majority religion in the US, do you want your kids to be learning from the Quran in school?

Sense when is USA about the majority? Last time i checked the bill of rights was made to protect the minorities.

Here we go again! Ask a question you know will cause retaliation, then nail yourself to cross and claim that the Atheists were attacking your religious beliefs.

Seriously dude take the bible shove it up your a$$ and keep god away from our kids.

Oh and have a nice day.
