Yeah, I asked that question last week. Be prepared for all these bad typers to rebel. I was told I had a stick up my you know where just for noticing it. Here's what the conclusion was: laziness and a new trend in typing/writing words incorrectly intentionally to be trendy (mainly with teenagers..) still don't get it.

It's there. They're in a rush which is why they ask the question in the first place. I figure, as long as I can extract intelligence from the jumble, I might as well answer. I might make a snide side comment on the spelling and grammar if I think it's of any value. And the spell checker isn't always a help since it doesn't catch homonyms or totally wrong word.

I agree on the Evolution of Vernacular - and use of Acronyms - which has been around for some years - as significant individuals to undesirable spelling. that's difficult for me to Criticize however, using fact my spelling has "fallen-off" extraordinarily - this is embarrassing. i think of for me, this is using (thank you LW :) - loss of training appropriate spelling and based too plenty on Spell Checker so you might "bail" one out. the only time that any certainly one of any age ever gets "referred to as" on incorrect spelling - is college Papers or Having a job, the place suited spelling is significant. different, than that - i think that there is an significant proportion (alongside with myself, especially circumstances) is on LAZINESS... or they are not aware enough with the correct spelling of such words....maybe they do not know what is the meaning of those words.
