yes they can stink just as bad as mens do or even worse but it they are cleaned well and shoes are worn with socks and maybe put a little perfumed powder in the shoe odds are they wont be stinking. mine usually smell like the powder unless my shoes get wet then they go to the trash!

Mine don't ever smell...but yes is it very possible...
