Saturday, not Sunday. he did not rise on Sunday. He was gone while it was yet dark. The real Christian sabbath day is on saturday, seeing as how he said to honour it and that he rested on the 7th day. look on your calendar and count seven days starting with sunday, which is the 1st day of the week, you will end up at saturday. Read Genesis 2: 2-3

SUNDAY!!! The Lord's Day! The day the Church celebrates the resurrection of Our Lord!!

Isaiah 1:13 - God begins to reveal His displeasure with the Sabbath.

Matt. 28:1; Mark 16:2,9; John 20:1,19- the Gospel writers purposely reveal Jesus' resurrection and appearances were on Sunday. This is because Sunday had now become the most important day in the life of the Church.

Acts 20:7 - this text shows the apostolic tradition of gathering together to celebrate the Eucharist on Sunday, the "first day of the week." Luke documents the principle worship was on Sunday because this was one of the departures from the Jewish form of worship.

1 Cor. 16:2 - Paul instructs the Corinthians to make contributions to the churches "on the first day of the week," which is Sunday. This is because the primary day of Christian worship is Sunday.

Col. 2:16-17 - Paul teaches that the Sabbath was only a shadow of what was fulfilled in Christ, and says "let no one pass judgment any more over a Sabbath."

2 Thess. 2:15 - we are to hold fast to apostolic tradition, whether it is oral or written. The 2,000 year-old tradition of the Church is that the apostles changed the Sabbath day of worship from Saturday to Sunday.

Heb. 4:8-9 - regarding the day of rest, if Joshua had given rest, God would not later speak of "another day," which is Sunday, the new Sabbath. Sunday is the first day of the week and the first day of the new creation brought about by our Lord's resurrection, which was on Sunday.

Heb. 7:12 - when there is a change in the priesthood, there is a change in the law as well. Because we have a new Priest and a new sacrifice, we also have a new day of worship, which is Sunday.

Rev 1:10 - John specifically points out that he witnesses the heavenly Eucharistic liturgy on Sunday, the Lord's day, the new day of rest in Christ.

Matt. 16:19; 18:18 - whatever the Church binds on earth is bound in heaven. Since the resurrection, Mass has been principally celebrated on Sunday.

Paul wrote it best....to the Romans 14:4-5.... Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.
5. One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind...You see for some people every day they wake up...can be the sabbath day...Listen to what David says in the book of Psalms 118:24....This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it...
SO every time we wake up clothed in our right minds the blood running warm in our veins activities of our limbs...is another opportunity to either get to know him or or worship him..

Even Further Paul says in the book of Hebrews 4:9-10....
There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
10. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.

There is a rest...but while we live here in the earth ,...there is no rest whether you have Christ or not because the rest is not here in this world...it is in the world to come ...which is eternal rest...like the verse says he that is resting has ceased from his work...

If you tell somebody about Jesus on Saturday or Sunday...and they receive Christ..you are doing the work of the Lord....Jesus also showed this by praying for men and they recovered ..on the sabbath day...

So as for me everytime I wake up it is the day of the Lord...and my hope is when we go to be with Jesus...I will get my rest..Amen
