I like to fish it weedless, the same way you hook up a texas rigged worm. This means that you use a offset worm hook, put it through the top of the senko, loop it through about 1/4" and then bury the tip of the hook in the little part of the senko that doesnt have the "ribs". Another way if you can see the fish & wont get snagged a lot is to hook it "wacky" which means just put the hook through the midlle of the senko & let the point of the hook be exposed. Either way, I usually never use any kind of weight & always use the offset worm hook.

I would use the texas Style rig like other plastic worms and use a 3/0 Eagle Claw Lazer Hook.

Go trhough the top pinpoint of the Senko worm and lopp it through at 1/4 inch and then slightly hid the barb.

There are weedless hooks, but they have a tendency to Hook largemouth on the upper portion of their jaws wich in some cases works to land them excellent for smaller ones oly. The larger Bass at 10 lbs on up I prefer not to use weedless hooks because I lose too many of them.

I base this on 25 years experiences as an Angler.

If you are fishing in cover then your best choice would be Texas Rigged. A small hook can give these lures some very good action. Try a 1/0 worm hook. Instead of burying the hook point in the middle of the Senko, try skin hooking it. Wacky style will bring you too many snags.

In that condition I would only rig it texas style so you wont catch weeds. There is no reason to rig it wacky, i would only do that in deeper water

good luck

p.s. the yum dinger is better than the yamamoto senko, you'll have better luck with the dinger

I like to fish them wacky style or weight less.
Wacky: Just punch the hook through the center of the worm and cast. Twitch and walk.
Weight less: Punch hook through front, can be done weedless, and twitch you retrieve.
