yes get the 1 1/2 inch it works better for longer coarser hair. The Sedu was rated by customers and dosen't break as easily as the Chi. The Chi does work my friend has one and it makes her soft and shiny but breaks quiclkly. The Sedu is great it dosen't pull your hair and makes it really smooth. Plus it lasts longer! It takes less time to straighten it with the Sedu and has temp. control thats just right for your hair. But all straightners do ruin your hair one way or another so use heat protectant L'Oreal "Hot Straight" Straightening Cream (it's in a pink bottle) or Paul Mitchell Serum help.

The Sedu is a great hair straightener. It doesn't damage your hair as bad as others would. You should also use L'Oreal hot straight heat activated straightening cream to put extra protection on your hair. It is really an amazing straightener and I am guessing that you looked at folica.com which is really an amazing website. If you haven't looked there then you definitly should as it gives you many reviews from real people. Hope it helped you!

Yes definetly. If it is expensive than it is good. I heard that Sedu doesnt really damage hair. 1/2 inch is better than 1 inch for long hair. Cuz i have long hair too and i use a 1/2 inch. It works fine. I hope it works good on u too!

I've heard that Sedu really dries your hair out. I currently use the Chi to straighten my hair (works really well), but I always use some type of heat-styling gel to counter-act the effects of the high heat. As far as the size goes, it realy depends what you want to do...if you want to add curls, waves, etc. then i'd use the small size, but if you're just looking to straighten it, i'd go with a bigger size. hope this helps! :)
