We use the Sony Digital Voice recorders, and we don't have the software but are interested if it's a good thing to have and will save time w/ transcribing.

Its Brilliant;
I supported Dragon Dictate at a Site where it was basically a Necessary item, and in Huge demand.
I also saw a Medical Specialist Dictate a Multi Page Document, format it, and have it faxed out, without him using a Keyboard ( just the Dictation unit) or have his Assistant touch it. It is Brilliant. It chews a Chunk of Memory, and Disk space with large Documents, but worth the money

Dragon Naturally Speaking has recieved high praise from it's users and reviewers. It is easy to train and quite accurate from what I have heard. THere are different versions for different disciplins like one for medical transcription and one for legal transcription so the software can be purchased to fit the specific language of the business that will be using it.
