You might not like this answer, but you really cannot lose the fat around your stomach by doing exercises alone. If you are doing ab exercises and not dieting, you could possibly make your waist thicker. When you build muscles without dieting, the muscles bulge under the fat.... Think about it.

To help lose the fat around my stomach area fast, I jog.
I put on weight around my stomach any time I overeat or eat sweets, high carb foods, bread, cereals, pizza, etc. It goes directly to my stomach. Which means in order to keep your stomach down while exercising to build up the muscles, you have got to watch what you eat.

Stomach crunches on a excercise ball, adding wieght slowly..(like holding a round wieght in front (or above u) and doing the crunches...Inverted sit ups(like hanging upside down on a bar with special hooked shoes) work great for fast results, and in alot of cardio and a great diet and your set.
