Is it situational or not? Have you experienced this before? Have you ever been treated for depression? You really don't give enough information to fully answer your question, but all I can say is that it's okay to get help. Some depression stems from a chemical imbalance that can be helped by taking medication. If this isn't the case for you, "this too shall pass." Hope everything turns out okay!

Find someone who will listen to you. A family member or a friend talk about what is making you feel depressed and if you don't know what is making you feel depressed find things in your life that make you happy a pet or a sport/hobbie that you like. And if you are really bad to the point to where you can't get out of bed then seek treatment it may sound tacky but it's something that is needed.
Good Luck I have been there many times and it sucks!!!

Regardless of the cause of your depression, I feel your pain because i have been there and I found a way to recover and reconcile with myself and my life as it is now. I consulted with a clinical psychologist and just taked it out with her. I spent approximately 8 or 10 visits and it gradually eased the pain and I feel much better now. Call your insurance company and inquire about treatment and help. Chances are you are covered and help is available at an affordable rate.

Keep a journal it helps a lot. I suffer from depression myself. I keep a journal to let go of all the emotional stuff but I use a punching bag for all my anger issues.

Go see a counselor or psychologist and talk to them.
If you can't afford one, there are many phone resources available - just do a Google search and be specific with your search terms (i.e., do you think this is caused by a family issue such as divorce, a death, etc.)
Good luck (hug)

Let go off your emotions by letting yourself cry. Crying will help you release all your negative emotons which you have harboured in yourself.
