Foil, sticky tape, and citrus are all good solutions. When you are home, keep a spray bottle handy and give the cat a mist when she jumps up there. She'll learn soon enough that she doesn't want to be up there. lol

-----When you find the cat on the dining room table, instantly move the cat off it. The cat will soon learn you do not want it there; that may or may not be enough to stop it from doing that. Putting the cat out every time you find it on the table will help even more. Try to fix up some other place for the cat to sleep. Look at it from the cat's point of view. Perhaps it is sleeping on the table to look out the window; fix up a place where it can do that better. ---Jim

Cats do not like the smell of citrus. So you could try to put some citrus fruit juice on the table. I don't know if leaving the fruit whole would help or not. I haven't tried that.

DEFINATLEY try the first post but not the whole fruit thing because it doesnt work. use pepper sprinkles as whenhey stand on them it will be gritty on their paws which they dont like and when they lick it off ot will be hot (i dont like this method as it might get in my cats eyes) but the citrus method works wonders for me. o put bits of sticky sided tape on the table as the cat wont wanna sleep on it because the fur will stick. or just shut the door that the table is in.

Try a spray of some kind with Citrus..or you can put double backed tape across the areas until it learns..Cats don't like the stickiness of that.

put foil or put upside down tape on the table top. I put foil on my counters and that worked. A friend uses the tape on furniture and it works.
