sounds like an upper respiratory infection. There is no cure, you can just treat it. Sort of like a human cold. When you take a shower, bring your cat into the bathroom --the steam will help clear out her nasal passages. Be careful to not expose him to other cats until it is cleared up, it is very contagious. Just keep you eye on him, and make sure he is eating and drinking enough. If he stops eating or drinking, bring him to the vet immediately!

Cat Sneezing Runny Nose

it may be an upper respitory infection. which is pretty common in cats - my kitten actually is just getting over it. He didn't have the runny nose just the sneezing & little eye discharge. But my vet said that its just like a human cold and they can give them antiobiotics but its basically up to their immune system to get rid of it. So its possible that your cat has that, i'd go for a checkup & get some antibiotics.

Take your cat to the doctor. Cats are very susceptible to pulmonary infections. The Vet will put him on some antibiotics and it should clear up in a couple of weeks. Is your home dry? Try giving him a steam bath at night.

I took my dog in to get shots and she ended up catching kennel cough. She passed it on to my other dog and both cats. Maybe your cat has kennel cough. You should take it to the vet. They will give you antibiotics to treat it if that's what it is. I never knew a cat could catch this from a dog but there is one strain that can be passed from a dog to a cat. Has your cat been exposed to any other animals?

Y ou should take him to your vet it, and tell him what is going on. To me it sounds like he could have a bad cold or anemonia. If it's that the vet will give you antibiotics to help fight off the infection and get red of the phlem. I watch emergency vets and a untreated case of anemonia can kill an animal.

I am suspicious of the vets. I have been taking my one cat to the vet for eye infection/allergy. The ointment never helped her; her eyes are the same, the ointment for one ounce was 45.00 When I checked the exact ingredients on the ointment compared to the over-the-counter, they were exact for 6.95. I felt so deceived.

Respatory problems are common in cats and can be treated if they get medical attention early on. Please take your kitty to the vet.
