I want to be able to drink my friends at the yankees game but someone has to be designated driver is there any other methods of transportation that arent $500?!!!

The easiest way is to take the subway.
I don't know where you are coming from exactly, but there is probably a pretty easy way to get back and forth via public transportation.

either don't drink yourself or find a pal who doesn't, you will then have a designated driver. Here in Australia bar staff give the designated driver a sticker on their hand and they get free soft drinks as long as they are in the bar.

Subway is $2... it doesn't get much cheaper then that

take the bus with the other drunks. there are also trolleys
