look for a particular breed that make good watchdogs. dobermans, rottweilers and german shepherds are the most common. If taught correctly they will defend you and your home with their life. When looking at a litter look for the "top" puppy. In the puppy hierarchy this will be the pup that initiates play, takes toys away from it's siblings and climbs on top of them. This kind of puppy might also be very stubborn when trying to train but it will usually make the best

You should never train a dog to be aggressive. This is what causes dogs like Pit bulls to have such a bad name, and it will cause the dog to be hard for you to handle and may bite other people causing injusry to a person and having to put the dog down.

Also, dogs should not be kept outside all the time. It is unhealthy.

If you are worried about your house, train a dog to bark when someone is at the door, but not to be aggressive when you open it. Also why not get an alarm system instead

LOL... you're kidding right? And you want an aggressive dog because.....? Most medium to large breed will be protective of their owners and property if raised well and AS part of the family.

Aggression isn't breed into dogs, therefore you aren't going to see it in a 9 week old puppy.

Uh...is there a reason that you want an aggressive dog? There are breeds that are good for protection and as a watching animal, but they are not aggressive in their own right. Any type of dog can be a watch dog.

You should not have an aggressive dog..they can be dangerous to you and anyone who comes around. Get yourself a dog that will "ALERT" you to the presence of someone..but NOT bite etc. Border Collies, Feists, Chiauauas, Shepards..there are all kinds of breeds that would fit that description..but whatever you decide please don't get one that will hurt someone.....
