Maybe, maybe not. Spraying is a way male cats mark their territory; if they're neutered before they start spraying, the chance of them ever doing it is diminished but not certain. And I'd say the opposite of what another poster did--males mark their territories to keep other males away. They would be more likely to mark if there are other males than if they are around females. If it does continue, and it might, ask your vet or pet shop about a product called "Feliway". It's a pheremone--that is, a scent that cats recognize--and it can help stop spraying behavior. It's expensive, but it's worth it.
(And I agree. DO NOT declaw. That's like cutting your finger off at the first joint. They don't just take the claws out, and after declawing it may become painful for cats to use a littler box because of the wounds.)

No, Tom cats still mark their territory though it doesn't have the strong smell. If you only have the one cat he should be ok indoors but if you have more cats now and again they will spray in the house.Mine still sprays a lot in the garden as other cats come in sometimes.

If the behaviour was hormonal then yes. But occasionally cats do it out of habit,
If it continues try using feliway spray on the areas that he marks. That will prob help, otherwise get a pet off spray from you local pet store.

Theory is that it should, but my cat has been, and all though it´s not everywhere, he lifts his r´s and sprays it all up the bathroom wall.

There's a good chance he won't. Once they start regardless of whether they get neutered or not, they can continue. You might be lucky though... I wasn't so lucky. :-(
