We don't discriminate. We try to save Wiccans, Buddhist, Islamics and Satanists also. Most atheists have very good morals but God tells us that is not what it is about. If we break one of the Ten Commandments it is the same as breaking them all. God gave us the 10 Commandments so we'd know that we couldn't be good enough and it would require a Savior.
The word redeem means "to purchase." When Christ died for our sins, He paid the price that satisfied the demands of God's holiness. the price of redemption was the blood of Christ. In explaining redemption to the Galatians, Paul used 3 different words that were applied to purchasing servants at the ancient slave markets. The first, "agorazo" meaning "to purchase in the market," is used to explain how Christ paid the redemption price of His blood, which was sufficient to purchase every one "sold under sin." The second "ekagorazo" meaning "to purchase and take home," emphasizes that Christians have been purchased out of the marketplace and are no longer for sale. The third word "lutroo" meaning "to purchase and give freedom" emphasizes the liberty that belongs to a soul redeemed by God (Gal.4:5) the Christian is encouraged to "stand fast" in that liberty.

Christians are supposed to bring the good news of forgiveness in Christ to the entire world. Some people misinterpret what we tell them as our condemnation of them. Nothing could be further from the truth if the person is witnessing in love and compassion.
The fact that we want others to love Jesus and know His compassion towards them is not hypocritical. It's the same love that a doctor shows for a patient by telling them that their bodies are lacking in something, rather than pretending that the blood work came back perfectly normal.
The fact is that we have all sinned and are in need of healing and forgiveness. I'm sorry if you feel as if we're judging you when we tell you that. I'm not condemning you for anything. . .that's between you and God.
On the other hand, I'm not going to stop telling you about Jesus and His love for you, either.

I think that people take the term "judging" too literally. I am a Christian who does not agree with "religion." I do agree with what the Bible teaches. Just like parents do with their children, Christians are responsible for helping people who don't know how to be helped- people who don't even know they need it.
I don't agree with constant nagging and judging. But judging is different from teaching. And there is never only one thing wrong with someone.
The Bible tells us that nobody is good- humans have a lot inside that needs to be dealt with. Good morals are not what get you into heaven. Jesus gets you into heaven. That is also clear from the Bible. People love religion because they have something with which to compare themselves to make themselves feel good or important.
True Christianity is abiding in Christ and continuously growing, not convincing yourself that there is only one bad trait, but that God is needed in order to make the changes in your life that you need. That one bad trait you suggested is the only one that you are focusing on. But if you look honestly at yourself while spending time in the Word of God, you will have a different attitude. You will be thanking Him for loving you even amidst your traits- all of your traits that don't match up to what He wants- and you will see for yourself why you need to be saved. It's only judging to you because you aren't ready to admit your faults. You are comfortable in your "traits."

Not me, I don't think they are worth saving.
We live in a disassociative, disfunctional and confrontational society and it's obvious there are more non-believer's today than ever before. That's unfortunate, because among other things, religion provides powerful forms of "connectivity." It's also apparent that organized religion provides connectivity through community. That is what is lacking today. Ability to cope with and adjust to stressful life changes is an important determinant of well-being and mental health. For those of us who believe, there is comfort and consolation in knowing there is a personal eternally observing deity who not only is aware of our existence but also promises ultimate reunion. Many of you "non-believers" will change your way of thinking when your life is coming to an end
p.s. I don't go to church, I've never been baptized, yet I believe in our Lord and God Almighty! I love nature, God gave us a beautiful world. I have no doubt he exists because of this beauty and the order of things. It is man who is the destructionist.

Religion can be a great thing and the worst thing at the same time. Being judgmental shouldn't be a part of any religion. Our true test of faith is if we have the capacity to save OURSELVES. whether or not you believe in a Christian God or something else. How we live this life in the here and the now - that's what counts...how we treat others.

I cannot save you. It is my duty to spread the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ. It is His job to save you. What you do with the info is up to you. Judgement belongs to God. The Word of God judges, and rightly so. People simply do not like being told that they are wrong.
Jesus loves you. There is life through Him. Have a great day !

Why do atheists always assume that people are out to convert them? Aren't atheists just as judgmental in deciding that religion is a crutch and based on what they perceive of as mass fraud?
A question for you though, how can you claim to be an atheist and say that you love religion? I am sorry if I am being ignorant, but aren't you contradicting yourself?

Christians want other people to be saved because they know what a horrible life they will lead after they die if they are not saved. The bible is clear on what hell is like. And in the end it is your choice to accept Jesus and all that he gave up for you, Christians are doing you a big favour when they try to witness to you.

Everyone is judgmental.
Everyone.
Christians are just like everyone else. Trying (hopefully) to serve others and be more like Christ was.
Christians aren't perfect.
There are always members of any group (ethnic, political, faith, et cetera) who are going to be bad representations of that group.
We've got to be wise in not judging an entire group by the bad representations we have encountered individually.

The Bible tells Christians to spread the gospel to those they come in contact with as they go about their day. Christians who "try to save atheists" are attempting to do what God has told them to do. They are just following orders. If the atheists don't like it, they should take it up with God. Oh wait, they can't do that. Never mind.
