She could not make you get one, unless she cold ****** you and performed the surgery before you woke.
Honestly, why is getting a vasectomy a bad thing. I got mine as my 22rnd birthday present. That most certainly proved to be the best thing a man can ever get for himself. I am 40 now, and I still enjoy the novelty of not having kids.

i think it's great. You'll never have to worry about her getting pregnant, or anyone else if you do split up. The beautiful thing about is there is a good chance that it is reversable! With woman the chance for it being reversed is much less and the OP is much more difficult and painfull.
I'd rather would have seen her being your wife, but at least you won't have to worry about 'CHILDSUPPORT', no woman can do you over, saying she's on the pill.
Now, this doesn't mean you can't contract deseases, but of course you know that.
I know for the moment all the benefits seem to be on her side, but she probably was the one taking care of 'the problem' before hand anyhow. And in the longterm, there will be no accidents. Nothing is as safe as VASECTOMY.
All the best.

She didn't "make" you do anything. what, she held you down on the table andtold the doctor to cut away?
and she's your GIRLFRIEND, idiot, not your wife. You may have a new girlfriend in year and then what? Even if you two already have children, unless she's your wife and you two have a piece of paper that says so, she's just a girlfriend, nothing permanent.
The only time a man should have a vasectomy is when HE decides he's done having kids. Other than that, there's either the pill or condoms. use one or both.

Made you? What...she held you down and threatened you with a scalpel? YOU got the vasectomy. If you think its wrong you needed to have discussed the issue further with her before YOU got the vasectomy. Its not the end of the world and you can investigate having it reversed if it means that much to you.

how old are you? you didn't mention that but i think that it was selfish of her to ask to to do that. my husband had one but we have 1 child and that is all we wanted. i had complications w/ my pregnancy and he didn't want to put me through that again. he made the decision to have a vasectomy. i think that you two should have sat down and talked about it. if you don't have any kids and want one down the road, you won't be able to have one unless you go through a painful reversal procedure and who knows if that will work. i wish the best for you and your girlfriend and hope that you weren't forced into something that you'll regret. May God Bless you.

Yes with all my heart I think that this is wrong. She is not even you wife yet( only a girlfriend) , and you are ready to give away you chances to have one day children. But what if she is not the one to be your wife?. What a waist.
Why did she asked you to do this? May be she doesn't love you enough to have your children. I don't blame her because one day she will get married and have children. But you, well your wife and you might live for the rest of your lives regretting your action.

If she's only your gf, then why did you get it done? I could see if you guys were married and had kids and didn't want anymore. If that were the case, you guys already made the ultimate commitment. But she's only your girlfriend. I wouldn't have gotten it done if I were you. You never know what's going to happen between the two of you, if you stay together or breakup. If you breakup, what happens if you find someone else? And that someone else wanted kids? Sorry man, bad idea....

It depends...do you have more than 3 children and are they her children? See you would look like a fool asking that question if you have 4, 5, 6 or even more children and only God knows how many baby mama's. Someone has to be the responsible one!!!!!

yes I think it was wrong first of all you are not married to her. what happens if you two do not work out and you marry another who wants to have children? she has taken away your choice and chance of ever having children and take it from a mother there is no greater joy than having a child to love and learn with. I speak from experience with a tubal. I have remarried and can't give my new husband a child of his own and that kinda hurts. A child of your own completes your family.

Wrong.....no way......
There is a point where having too many vases just creates a mess. Your girlfriend was right making you get rid of the vases. OK, having a few for when someone sends you flowers is smart but you probably had way too many.
