Never.

They're in class all day and the last thing they'll want to do is spend 5 minutes out of their limited break time to brush teeth.
It is also embarassing to be carrying your toothrush to the washroom or be in the washroom brushing while others use the washroom.

Most people don't brush their teeth during the day - either at work or school. I never brushed my teeth during the day and look - no cavities or gum disease. If you are really concerend about their oral hygeine encourge good eating habits and ensure they brush their teeth and floss in the morning and before they go to sleep. Maybe give them that sugarless gum to chew on after meals to assist with getting bits of food out of their teeth (its recognized by dental associations).

However, it is good to see a parent concerned about the health of their children. Hope this helped.

no, they can brush when they get home. If food gets stuck, or their teeth don't feel clean, I ask them to rinse well two times with clear water. Hopefully, the water has fluoride. Gets them through the day.

i don't have kids.
im 14.
but after lunch when i first got my braces i brushed my teeth so food wouldnt be in my teeth, but now i know how to eat so that food wont get caught.
i say NO.
just because kids will forget and they dont need to brush after meals. food doesnt get caught ON teeth, plaque does they are brushing for nothing.

No, because I know they will not do it. Be reasonable ..kids are kids..not only would they have to remember - which is a tough one..but they'd have to carry it on them...where?... and kids don't want to look different, would you?...so make your expectations realistic ones. Have them brush when they get home and give them a break.

I think it is only necessary to brush your teeth twice daily.
