Sisters, one blonde, one brunette inherit their grandfather's TX cattle ranch. Being from the city, neither knows a thing about ranching. A few weeks later, they are running out of stock. The brunette tells the blonde to get her money together so she can go to CA to buy a bull. They pool their money, but only have $1000. Brunette says she will go to CA and try to buy the bull with the $1000, and if she finds a bull she will send a telegram to sister telling her to bring the truck & trailer to pick up the bull. She finds a bull, but it is $999. She decides to buy it anyway since it is the best offer she has had. She takes her $1 to the telegraph office and tells the guy there she needs to tell sister to come get bull but finds out it is $1 per word. She thinks a while and goes back to the counter and tells the guy to send one word, "comfortable." He asks how that will help. She says, "My sister is blonde, she will read it slow."
