Is it bad etiquette to drink Scotch on an Irish holiday, and if so what do you recommend???

Absolutely not. I recommend Laphroaig, GlenLivet, Glenfiddich or Balvenie.

St. Patrick's Day is not about what you drink (as long as its NOT green beer)...its about having fun and getting to be Irish for a day! Drink what you like and the most important thing is to have fun! Slainte!

Try irish whiskey (or drink scotch and call it whiskey, after a few who cares) Have fun

Drink what you like, but try and squeeze in a Black and Tan somewhere! (Bass and Guinness)
