How do i get all the icons off my desktop??

Question

Ive accidently put a shortcut on for every song/video on my pc, how do i get them back off? System restore doesnt work on my pc for some reason so cant do that.

Tipex works for me.


Seriously left click and hold, then move curser around all the icons you want to delete. Then single left click on one of the icons. Then right click and hit delete. This will delete them all at once.....stuff doing it one by one.

Select one icon on the desktop (to make sure you're in the right area) and then do a CTRL + A to highlight everything, the while holding down the CTRL key and clicking with the mouse, deselect/unhighlight the icons you want to keep, then hit the delete key to get rid of any unwanted icons.

right click and go to Delete on drop down list

you can Delete any desktop icon as it is only a short cut to the file etc

First hold down the left mouse button. While holding, drag it around the icons and then press the delete key. Or, hold down CTRL and while holding down click on all the icons you want to get rid of.

Drag the cursor through a few at a time and drag them to the trash. When all have been moved open up the trash and make sure that only the music/videos have been put there. Now empty the trash.

Right click on each icon and hit delete. Then empty the recycle bin.

Select the icons you wish to delete. Right click on each one seperately and select delete

you can go and click on the icons that you don't want and press delete. that will send your icons on the recycle bin

hit CTRL+A and then press SHIFT+DEL

This will perminantly (apart from a system restore or file scavanger) delete them from your PC/Laptop
