Was it the food itself or the event? Anything from burning the Chistmas turkey to the first dinner with your soul mate. Or maybe a meal made by your child's easy-bake oven?

Mine was an anniversary meal with the Mrs. at Ruth'sChris Steak House in Atlanta. Best meal ever. It set the standard by which I have judged all other high dollar meals....and they all have fallen short.

My most memorable meal would have to be when I got to go to a fancy dinner with my Dad that one of his clients had invited him and my Mom to (Mom couldn't go for some reason). It was with a group called the Chaine de Rotisseurs. They are a group devoted to fine wine and incredible cuisine. The event was at Vic and Anthony's in Houston. I had crab cakes for the first time there and I loved them! I also got to try some incredible wines (red and white). The menu also had chipotle quail, a beef dish, fresh green beans, and a plate of beautiful desserts. One of the most weird, but also quite tasty, things I had was Cantaloupe sorbet! There was also, what I'll call, a modern jazz band playing which created a beautiful setting. It was an experience I'll never forget!

It was the Valentine's Day dinner I made for myself and my boyfriend's first Valentine's Day together this past February. I had planned on the menu for months and when the day finally came, I was certain I was going to overcook something. I started prepping things and getting the table set. But as I made the meal everything progressed without a flaw. The food which was Balsamic Glazed Filet Mignon, Yukon Gold mashed potatoes, and oven roasted asparagus was so delicious. I can still taste the tang of the glaze on the potatoes and the crunchiness of the asparagus to this day. Then the dessert was phenomenal, the chocolate lava cakes oozed chocolate and was complimented by a fresh tart raspberry sauce. We were so sad when the meal was over, like devastated. All those flavors and smells are burned into my mind and palate. Just thinking about it now makes me hungry, LOL.

Lobster in Negril Jamaica in a restaurant that was just the front yard of a shack. A local grilled them on a grill in the side yard and served them with tons of melted butter.

Mine was when my sister and I were vacationing in Hawaii.
We went to a really nice restaurant and had salmon and steamed veggies, it was delicious.

Having burgers every Sunday at a Hot dog cart in the corner of our house are priceless memories too.
