If I remember correctly, it's about 84% religious, 16% nonreligious.
http://www.adherents.com/Religions_By_Adherents.html
ReligiousTolerance.org has a pie chart showing the number of nonreligious at 12.7% in 2000. http://www.religioustolerance.org/worldrel.htm
According to Adherents.com's FAQ, "between 87.6 to 92.2% of the world's population professes belief in God, deities or similarly understood Higher Power." http://www.adherents.com/adh_faq.html#God

Roughly 2/3 of the world believe in a Diety or Dieties (Muslims, Christians, Jews, Hindus, Shiks, American Indians, Afrikanni, Suffi, Ba'Hai), roughly 90% of the world has a Religious or other Philosophical belief (that adds Buddishsts) that may or may not include a diety.
Only 5-8% of the world is TOTAL non-believer or DENIST (Atheist).
The rest "decline to state."

This isn't your answer- but here's a quote from Richard Dawkins:
"...about 40 percent of the population of Britain, according to a recent survey, believe in a supernatural God, whereas about 95 percent of the American public do. ... But there's no difference ... in the scientists of the countries. In both cases, among scientists the number of people who believe in a supernatural being is low."
It is also not unreasonable to believe that there are a sizeable percentage of the 95% of americans that live in the religious world, go to church, and are members of their religious communities- that given the opportunity, would not believe in a supernatural diety. But- it would be too uncomfortable for them to admit it to their family and friends.

i think there are 2.1 billion christians, but that is by survey, so many don't really practice.
As far as theists, add the 1.2 or so billion Muslims, handful of Jews and other misc. religions. Then it depends on whether you count Hindus and Buddhists as "theists" or not.
