Yes, but if you start eating normally again youll gain the weight back right away and you might even gain more back then before. If you exercise and diet you can lose like 2-3 pounds a week.

Yes - you will lose it faster BUT you will mainly be losing water and lean mass - relatively little fat will be lost - so when you resume easting you will regain the weight quickly - and actually end up with less lean mass and more fat than before
This is why crash diets *NEVER* work once the person goes back to eating properly.
If you throw up as well, you will find you quickly end up with ruined teeth - if you know some friends who are bulimic - look at her (usually) teeth sometimes - you will find they are mottled browny colour - the worse the teeth the longer she has been throwing up.
If you want long term wight loss either you MUST east less OR you MUST burn more (exercise). One or both and you can do it. If you eat the same as you always have and exercise the same or less, your weight will keep where it is now or increase.
Sorry, this really isn't rocket science. Forget all the pills that make companies billions and keep the population fat. Lose weight by eating less and or exercising a little more.
Your call though

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

No, because:
1. You need at least 1200 calories a day or your body switches to 'survival mode', aka every thing you do will burn off barely any calories. Your body believes you are starving and must save energy.
2. Most people end up overeating and really stuffing themselves later.
3. Purging can hurt your esophagus because stomach acid comes back up and burns the insides of it. Your stomach can handle the acid because of its mucus protection layer, but your esophagus doesn't have it.

I know someone who purges and it has never helped her loose weight. It has only caused her to start a vicious cycle or binging and then purging to empty her stomach again. Don't get yourself on this track, just cut your food intake back and start jogging or doing physical activities. Good luck!

i bet you anything it's the same, just that purging is an easier way than busting your *** to exercise and work out. ya know. but remember that if you love that pretty smile of yours, then purging can ruin the enamel on the teeth, thus weakening the tooth because of acids from the stomach every time it comes out.

I'm no health expert but if I ever got overweight and was desperate to get it off I would try things like fasting and maybe eating only vegetables for a little while (which is something I learned from the Bible).

Don't do that! My friend went to the hospital for anorexia. Blood kept coming out of her mouth. Is better to be a lil bit over weight then to have health and mentally problems.

When I was purging, I didn't lose any weight....I maintained...but didn't lose any. The best way is to eat very little.

It's a fast way to get sick. That is highly unhealthy. You deprove your body of nutrients when you bring it back up.
Yes, you'll drop some pounds, but it is not worth it.
