I'm a HUGE music fan. I play guitar, bass, drums and a screw around on the synths as well. I'm big on metal, but also classic stuff like Led Zeppelin and suchlike. But every girl I go out with seems to find this a problem. I'm a very musical person, thats just the way I am.

I was going out with a girl called Vikki, who I really liked. My band was playing a show and I invited her along. She agreed to come, but at the end was really miserable and would hardly talk to me. She dumped me 2 days later because she didnt like 'my attitude'.

I take it I'm too metal. What can I do? I'm not leaving metal btw. Never.

Then you just need to find a girl who loves metal. It maybe hard but they are there you just need to broaden your area of women. Plus once your band takes off you will have groupies all over you.

You probably don't have the best attitude anyways, but try to find someone that enjoys metal. Act normal, not saying that you're weird, but if "Vikki" didn't like your attitude either, that's a wake-up call

If you're fairly young, you may not have gotten to the point of individuation where you can have *your* interests and not need your loved ones to share them.

For example, maybe your grandmother couldn't get enough of knitting but she probably didn't feel the need to make your grandfather do it, too.

In other words, if you can't find a gal that is into metal, then find someone with whom you're compatible personality-wise, not just hobby-wise (or career).

I like guys who have their own interests and feel strongly about them. Just don't expect *me* to climb mountains. See?

Just adjust to your needs. I am sure there are a lot of girls who are into 'metal' as much as you are. No need to change your great love for 'metal', you just haven't been looking in the right places for the right girl!

It wouldn't bother me ;)
The best thing you should do is find a girl who also likes metal. Or just keep looking for someone it doesn't bother. I don't see why it's a problem, though. Girls are weird.

your dating the wrong kind of girl, you shouldnt have to change your tastes for anyone, compromise yes. there are a lot of girls out there that are into metal just as much as you are. you just have to find them. if a girl dumps you over your taste in music then its her loss because that shows she isnt open to new things

That means that they're not meant for you. Don't worry about it and I agree that you shouldn't leave your passion. Don't worry though because someday you will meet a girl who will understand your passion and support you or someone who is just as obsessed.

it sounds like your 2 obsessed with music. take it easy . like listen to it when she is not around. girls like to get the attention and love talking. when you listen to music it is kinda hard to talk at the same time. listen to it in the car and try to not have a lot of practices. like 3 or 4 sounds just right.

that's her problem. you just need to find a girl that likes that stuff...or can tolerate it. Its not right to ask someone to change. My fiance' is really into the metal thing...Im not....but we make it work....you are just dating horrible girls.

What do you mean what can you do? You continue doing as you've been...play your music.

You will eventually find someone that enjoys it as much as you do. Be happy!

Peace and blessings...
